Full Time Vastari Collections Sales & Account Manager

If so, we have the perfect challenge for you, combining operational excellence with relationship building and sales, working with both museum professionals and collectors.

Expected start date: early- March 2018

This role at Vastari involves selling annual subscriptions for the Vastari services to art collectors, art advisors and foundations worldwide, while also developing relationships with our museum contacts.
Outreach is conducted by selling over the phone and direct marketing including emails, face-to-face meetings and art events. The role also involves developing relationships with the existing clients in order to up-sell services and ensure Vastari delivers excellent results.
A background in art is not required for the position but strongly recommended.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing relationships with new and existing collector clients including:

    • Converting existing leads (existing address book with 22,000+ contacts)

    • Lead generation & cold calling

    • Working with Head of Marketing to develop online campaigns

    • Analysing cost per acquisition and discovering ways to improve the financial structure of sales conversions

    • Generating new business and increasing revenue from existing clients

  • Maintaining relationship with existing museum clients to ensure maximum satisfaction with the product including:

    • Liaising with museums to make sure the items on the platform have enhanced visibility

    • Onboarding new museum professionals with an interest in the pieces available on the platform

    • Obtaining new loan requests from existing and new museum professionals

  • Creating effective sales proposals

    • Preparing presentations for bespoke pitches

    • Catering the sales pitch to each client's situation

  • Representing the company's brand image in a variety of situations including:

    • Dealing with Senior Executives from international blue chip organisations

    • Attending art fairs and international conferences

    • Responding to incoming enquiries and emails professionally and efficiently

  • Liaising with the technology team to improve product

    • Understanding prioritisation of new features for client success

    • Analysing cost-benefit for new features

    • Testing assumptions offline to ascertain there is an appetite for new online developments

Required Skills / Characteristics:

  • Results-driven, motivated and passionate about sales

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a diverse range of people from different cultures

  • Competent understanding of technology, ranging from desktop applications to online platforms, with a curiosity to learn new skills

  • Important technology knowledge: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and cloud-based CRM systems

  • Resourceful, self-motivated, competitive and ambitious

  • Good time management and organisational skills

  • Entrepreneurial flair, paired with an understanding of the importance of working to targets

  • Previous sales experience and art-world contacts would be beneficial

 

Entry-to-mid-level base salary based on experience + access to an uncapped commission scheme, with the potential to grow within the company.
