About Vastari Exhibitions
Vastari Exhibitions is an online platform that allows museums to browse travelling exhibitions available for loan as well as to list their touring exhibitions.
Bringing together curators from top institutions, renowned museum professionals, experienced collectors, exhibition producers and venues looking to hire exhibitions.
Vastari bridges the gap between the private and public sector and creates connections where others falter.
A background in art and or science is not required for the position but strongly recommended.
Vastari Exhibitions is searching for a research intern who is enthusiastic about international work, and is willing to learn about a rapidly developing part of the museum sector - touring exhibitions.
The intern will support the travelling exhibitions team by researching exhibition programmes of various museums, science centers, as well as exhibition centers, shopping centers, conferences, and cruises.
You will provide support to our sales and marketing activities and this will range from consolidating information about our international activities to desk research on current and potential hosting venues as well as the opportunity of working on marketing campaigns.
Please note that you will work with a whole range of museums including Science, Natural History, and Popular Culture, as well as Art Museums.
You will also work internationally primarily focusing on the following areas:
Main tasks and responsibilities
Research museums and their temporary exhibitions programmes. Primarily focusing on Asia, America, and Europe
Outreach to museums that can be host venues for exhibitions on Vastari Exhibitions
Match travelling exhibitions with possible hosting venues
Help generate a marketing campaign to promote our portfolio of touring exhibitions
Desk research such as competitor benchmarks, latest developments in the touring exhibitions market, research on potential new hosting venues and partner institutions
Providing marketing support for trade fairs and conferences
Any other reasonable duties as part of the day to day operations of Touring Exhibitions.
