Vastari Collections is looking for a research intern who is enthusiastic about international work, corporate and private collections, museum loans and exhibition placements.
The successful candidate will have the chance to represent Vastari at Europe's most prestigious art fair, TEFAF, Maastricht (expenses will be covered by Vastari).
The intern will support the Collections Specialist by researching art collections, managing client accounts, inputting data, contacting museums and art foundations and finding opportunities for object placements.
You will provide support to our sales and marketing activities and this will range from consolidating information about our international activities to desk research.
Please note that you will primarily work with art museums, and private and corporate collections.
A background in art or museums is not required for the position but strongly recommended.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Researching collections, matching art works with possible hosting venues
Updating our in-house database, managing client accounts
Outreach to museums that can be hosting venues for specific art works and collections
Match collections with upcoming exhibitions. Contacting curators and museum professionals, regarding their upcoming exhibition plans
Research potential art fair partners
Providing marketing support for trade fairs and conferences
Any other reasonable duties as part of the day to day operations of Vastari Collections.

At the end of the internship it is expected that the intern have an understanding of how the private and public sectors connect, regarding art work lending and placement. Further learning will include knowing how collections are managed and promoted; and how collections and museums work with each other on cultural and commercial levels
